Add a subheading
Jon Porobil is a solo singer-songwriter and "full stack" recording artist working from his home in Pittsburgh, PA. For most songs, Jon sings and plays all instruments as well as mixing and mastering the tracks. His songs are emotionally charged and catchy, spanning a variety of genres from rock to folk to country to synthpop.
Growing up in New Orleans, Jon was surrounded by music from a young age. When Hurricane Katrina devastated his hometown at the beginning of his sophomore year of college, Jon relocated to Ohio full-time. After gradutating, he lived for eight years in Austin, Texas, the "Live music capital of the world," before relocating with his family to western Pennsylvania. The eclectic set of styles in Jon's music and their heartfelt vulnerability reflect his many homes, life experiences, and anxieties.
Jon has published four full-length albums (three under his former stage name Jon Eric), and is currently working on a concept album titled The Camouflage Kid, expected to be completed by the end of 2023. In the meantime, you can catch him playing concerts around the Pittsburgh area, either solo or as a member of the quartet Moon's Quad.
